Makes sense to me... always worthwhile contemplating the way the temporal and timeless worlds are intertwined. Thanks Daniel (and Michael).

Hi Ben, Well, as usual, class plans went out the window, and we never got to Cylopian TV - but it will come up one day, i am sure. We have talked about shapeshifting quite a bit, but the students aren't confident enough to being any more to it than…

I transformed into a giant tortoise. My shell is about 8' across. It was nice to slow down and feel the subtle crunch of gravel beneath my feet. I took the path down through the middle of the park. I saw the path off to the right where i would usual…

Great feedback, love the depth of your reading here. I'm going to explore the Cyclopian nature of the TV with my class today and see what comes up. And Athene/Mentor - i had mostly been thinking about it from her perspective, as the shapeshifter. Bu…

A wonderful trilogy, firmly in the tradition of Milton's Paradise Lost, but especially William Blake's reading of it; questioning the powers of the 'priestly caste' and struggling with the way we must rise against organised suppression on the side o…

Ah yes, the Wandering Prince. Don't worry, Ben, he's always lurking about in the background for all of us sojourning westerners to find at some stage. Trust that the way the tale works falls into place for you now, and forget any standards you thoug…

Yup, it's the Sorcerer of Trois Freres, in recognition of my European heritage, even while i live in an ancient land with native people who have identified with their 'country' for millennia.

I'm finishing a PhD that analyses the symbol of light in the western traditions from an ecological perspective.
I'm lecturing in mythic literature to creative writing students at RMIT here in Melbourne, Australia. This week, Homer's The Odyssey, next week, Wolram von Eschenbach's Parzival - a classic Grail Quest.

My MA was a shamanic journey through the underworld of contemporary consumerist materialistic society. I wrote it as a creative piece with a philosophical exegesis. I'm on a soul trip but require space for my critical intelligence as well. Let's play!

Hi Geoff, We're not sure when it will be out for foreign distribution. Make sure to visit our official home page and sign up for the mailing list and we'll keep you up to date. I'll also try to update this page. We're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping to be in Melbourne this December but we don't know yet if that's happening.
Thanks!
Steve

Yo Geoff, the quest goes wrong! fantastic! Yes, myth as something experienced and as something we do, seems to be anathema to the academic discourse. So glad you're on this network, keep it up.

Love Sean Kane, I have received several kind letters from him; I think he's brilliant. In fact I currently have my Living Myth Living World students reading Wisdom of the Mythtellers.
Thanks for coming in to the chaos here, i look forward to hearing more from you.
