Hi Heather... So amazing to share time and room with you two last weekend. So, FYI, Gabe, our neighbor in the cabin over is leaving for summer, and subleasing his place for 10 weeks starting near the 20th of June. If you would like to live on this land and be neighbors, at least for the summer, do give him a call very soon -- 360.643.0964. Maybe I see you here when I return. Hugs to you both!
The 1750's "C" shaped reproduction striker I got from Midwest Native Skills was $16 plus shipping. You can get the same one from Ragnar, the only difference being that the flint from MNS was a lot better. I got a combo pack of three different kinds of flint to play with too (just for fun). If you really want something fancy, MNS also has some strikers forged in the shape of dragons. They are way cool ... And yes, I got one of those too :)
Hi Heather, Good to see you last night. Here's the relevant section of the poem by Antonio Machado.
Last nightas I was sleeping
I dreamt__marvelous error!__
that I had a beehive
here inside my heart.
And that golden bees
were making white combs
and sweet honey
from my old failures.
I look forward to getting to know you more when we get together again, and I really want to take you up on your offer to share stories from Kerala. Take care,
L.
Heather,
Ragweed forge has always supplied me with quality products, as advertised. He actually uses the stuff and writes very truthfully about what he carries. I would have no hesitation ordering from him.B
Hey , I left a comment on my profile, but basically said that its great to have the variety as you will have lots of choices and experiences. Can't have too many drums. THey all wind up different even if made from the 'same' stuff. Its all very organic and unpredictable. Love it! What great gifts to give as well. See ya next month. B
Hi Heather,
I'm so confused, but that's not unusual. I answered your comments on this site and I am not sure what I said, but I'm honored to be a part of it. Love you,
Grandma Barbara
Heather, would you please make a blog post about the 13 grandmothers? I'm sure many other consortium members would want to know about this.
Blessings,
DD
