Contextual-Conceptual Therapy: Guiding the Suicidal Person Using Maps,Models, & Metaphors. CCT was developed by Fredric Matteson over the past 22 years through therapeutic dialogue with over 15,000 suicidal patients in a clinical setting.
Hi – I just joined Mythsinger Consortium and noticed that you live in the Bay Area. My wife Maya and I put on various myth/poetry/ritual events during the year. Would you like to be on our email list? If so, mail me at shmoover@comcast.net -- Barry Spector
I would love to introduce this Mythsinger network and my CCT "Group" embedded here to the entire Expressive Arts community. Do either you or Shellee know how we might go about accomplishing that? I feel that Danny Deardorff is creating a vibrant mythopoetic community of artists as healers and healers as artists. I believe that if a "mission statement" were ever created for this community that it would coincide closely with the EXAR world view.
Hi Patricia,
It is very good hearing from you! I am glad to introduce you to Danny Deardorff and his Mythsinger website. He has become a good friend and is very interested in my work with suicidal individuals and the use of mythopoesis and metaphor to help them. It is exciting work and we hope to present at each other's conferences and to make a more conscious bridge between the two worlds of mythology and suicide. So again welcome and stay tuned!
