Mythic Journeys is a documentary that advocates myth as a way to bridge the gap between communities, cultures and generation. Because we believe that every life is a story and a story can change the world.

About The Film

"The best spiritual documentay I've ever seen!" "It knocks the socks off of "The Secret", "What the Bleep do I Know", and all the others I've seen.

It deeply moved me, it made me think, and most importantly it rekindled my spirit and opened my heart!"

~Deena J. Shelton~
"Meditation Download"

"I LOVED Mythic Journeys...it very strongly rekindled my Spirit and opened my heart in gratitude for my own personal story!"

Mythic Journeys is an inventive fusion of documentary, story, artwork and animation. Despite the fact that myth has always existed, surprisingly few people today are aware of even the classic myths or the potential myths have to impact their lives. Myths are the reservoir of human wisdom - the story and the meaning of life. Every human being has asked the questions who am I, what is my purpose, why am I here? The answers are in the myths that have been passed on from generation to generation. Mythology is a tool that can bridge cultures, communities and generations. Through this film we hope to inspire people to activism and show that by helping others we ultimately help ourselves.

Gods & Goddesses of the Modern World

In general people of Western civilization consider themselves to belong to one of two groups; atheistic or monotheistic. However to tell you the truth we have seldom met either. The literalized Christian religions say they believe in and worship one god, and in name this is true. But right out front you have Jesus as well as God. They are worshipped as one, as well as separate beings; The father, son and holy ghost. You then have the next level of worshipped beings; The Virgin Mary, The Devil, T… Continue

Fate & The Journey

“The gods will invite you on a journey, if you refuse they’ll drag you kicking and screaming.”

This old saying (as roughly remembered by two filmmakers from Los Angeles) started us t

Limiting Our Passions

Having the wonderful experience of making "Mythic Journeys" forced us to look back on our own journey and how we came to where we are today. We’d like to share that with you.

A few years ago we were working on films that, although we are very proud of, had a lot of lim… Continue

Recognizing when the Journey Begins

My wife and I were married in the fall of nineteen ninety….six. I know the exact date but I have a habit of drifting off the subject when I write so I thought for the sake of condensing useless information I would just keep it short and

Wanted you to check out my new focus group that my friend and fellow Posturer had to install for me because for reasons beyond my ken, I couldn't get the "buttons" to work...called Ecstatic Wisdom Postures. You may already know about it from my website but I'm tickled to be able to share it with this community of people. My friends are joining here, too, and I will let them know about your film and presence here.

So glad I thought of you guys with regard to this consortium. Should have known you'd already be here. My new friend who's interested in "growing" a more mythic version of the Awakening the Dreamer symposium is here, too. Look for her: Pushkara - ooops forgotten the rest of her name. She's on Whidby and we hope to meet in August with Mike Seymour of Heritage Institute. Maybe we can ALL meet when you're in the region.

You are both gorgeous! Have a sweet weekend, Deborah
