Here is Yohannis, at the end of this short video, bowing to us all! We handed out Injera to the 270 residents of ‘the garbage area,’ where Yohannis was born and raised.
I hope to blog from there, but who knows. I'll be staying in Addis Ababa for a few days with Yeshi Riske, meeting women who have been repatriated and are living at the United Hope Ethiopia Shelter Yeshi and Sharla Musabih set up. Then photographing and meeting women in the north and southern tribal regions. very excited...Philip has been mentoring me to use my Nikon D200 with my old prime lenses - and I'm bringing Leica D-Lux 3 and a Sony Handycam....praying for my heart to connect to the hearts of the people and these photographic enregistrations will be heart generated. I am leaving it all up to the flow of life to lead me over these days as all days...magnetically directing me towards where and who I will connect with with grace.
sounds superb, miss g - can't wait to see you. Teddy, is coming also, you don't know him but perhaps you could connect and come together??? his email is teddylw@gmail.com - since we're picking you both up from the ferry, it would be super cool if yo…
I will definately be there! Youthful energy is amazing to be around. I get the wisdom of that in exchange for any empowerment I can offer them in the way of added life experience! It's such a blessing to me to be able to hold up a vision of a young…

Members of the Girl's Talking Circle, Guy's Talking Circle and GenderTalks Circle on Bainbridge Island tell why Teen Talking Circles is so important to them.
Linda. The kids are moved into the house and my daughter is due any day with child. I am on my way to Tucson to work the Gem Show and will be back in March. If you wish to pursue the construction of a shelter , we could talk at that time. THanks for your patience. L&L, B
HI Linda
While normally I would love to help you, right now I am sheparding a 100 old house through the re construction phase for my daughter and she is due with child in Jan and we just got a stop work notice from the city. I can offer you a little guidance but little else at this time. If you know someone handy I could download enough for them to take it on. L&L, B
Hi Linda
same Birch. THe tent structure is called a mandorla as it is the upper half of that shape also called the vesica picses, the piece that is created when two spheres overlap. THis particular one is seven sided with the lower half implied under the earth, the center where fire visits with water recepticles present and air journeying out the top opening. It is covered with disused sails. It provides a permeable membrane to allow some of nature to enter so that we don't get to isolated and forget where we are, but also shelter and a bit of warmth so that we can use it in almost any weather. There is room with the inner benches removed to dance around the fire. Some of the sides roll up for summer or big gatherings. It could be overdone and exclude nature and become too comfortable so that we fall asleep. Keep some porosity to allow life to join in.
Oh My, Linda. . .I finally realized that Isabela-delic was a photo not a video and she is gorgeous. When you have a chance check out a new focus group called Ecstatic Wisdom Postures which I began with the help of my friend Cinda since my computer is being stubborn. ( I can't even add friends to my list even though all the clicks seem active, nothing happens. ) The reason I mention Postures is that a German photographer took amazing photos similar to Isabela of participants in a soul affirming week long Posture experience in a tropical setting where they felt free to paint their bodies as seen in vision embedded in the natural world around them. Unbelievable imagery. We might consider doing something like that somewhere, somehow.
And yes my daughter's friend is Heather and she may be "nannying" for Liz soon. I have committed to being on the island on August 6 - 9. . .maybe we can meet. Liz has her first art opening ever at Blackbird on the 7th.
Thank you for sharing Isabela - an inspiration for me.
Linda, My daughter, who is a friend of your daughter's, keeps telling me about you. I'm planning on moving to BI as soon as I sell my Montana retreat and look forward to meeting you soon. A delight to discover you here on Mythsingers which feels like my long lost community.
I am entranced by your work with teens and would like to contribute. Check my website for info on Ecstatic Wisdom Postures especially: www.deborahmilton.com. Also I'm in communication with filmmakers, also newly joined in this community, whose film might be a relevant catalyst for mythic work for all peoples. Check them out, too. Linda...my soul-sister.....this site has a good, kindred feeling about it. You and I have been and will continue to be brought together by our common passion and life path to help others see with fresh eyes...esp. teens, young people, women, men....hmmmm....That just about covers it all!
