I was always interested in traveling to Peru as I am an herbalist by trade then I met a wonderful Peruvian family here in Washington state about 12 years ago and became good friends with them after I gave them some peacocks- they loved peacocks and had them when they had lived in Peru. They kept inviting me every year to go with them to back for visit - they were from Lima but had relatives in Cuzco. About a year later I went to an event where I experienced shamanic healing session with a woman and it was amazing - I asked who her teacher was and she told Dr Mary Blankenship and right there I made the decision to train with Mary- and I did for 3 years and with Jose Lous Hererra at the same time- after that I traveled all over Peru with Mary and Jose Lous working with shamans, healers, and herbalists from all over Peru. I originaly went for a 6 week trip and stayed for almost 4 months- I loved Peru and the wonderful people and the land sung to my soul. I went back again the next year and again stayed for 3 months and climbed 4 mountains- including Asangate, Salkantay, treked 150 miles to Choqekerau, went to the Pakaratambo festival and then went to Lake titicaca and the islands, Bolivia, and then the coast- Trijillo on my way back. I love Peru, and the beautiful ways. I have been to many of the places you said you lived. How did you come to live in the US?
