The Eagle & the Condor: Re-telling the Story of Our Time

Ancient indigenous prophecy of the eagle and the condor speaks about our time as one of great change and awakening, individually and globally-bringing forth the merging of heart & mind, science and religion, and a sense of deep interconnectedness.

Explore the next chapter in your story as we delve into the great drama of this unique moment in history facing challenges for environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment. Video clips of activists & leaders, story, poetry, ceremony, song, dance and community building will form our crucible for transformation as we move beyond the boundaries of what we know into deeper areas to hear that which speaks into our lives.

Adapted from the global symposium Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream by the Pachamama Alliance, The Eagle & The Condor steps into a level of personal myth and indigenous wisdom from which actions in the world flow with organic grace.

Bios of Presenters:

*Mike Seymour, M.S. President of The Heritage Institute (www.hol.edu) with a mission to “educate for humanity & the world w want,” and reaching educators around the USA and the world with the essential message of the Eagle & Condor workshop.

*Deborah Jane Milton, Ph.D., recently moved from rural Montana and brings with her a grounded reverence for the earth and the creative spirit animating our lives. An artist and mentor, she has inspired people for thirty years and since 1993 has taught Ecstatic Wisdom Postures, a spiritual practice that reliably reveals the indigenous wisdom hidden in our bones, our DNA.

*Deborah Sweet Shomer is a passionate lover of all world cultures, considering herself a World Citizen. She has trained in Sufi Mysticism for more than 30 years and through that tradition is a minister, spiritual guide, healing conductor, and leader of sacred chant and dance. Her bright spirit informs any gathering of which she is a part.

*Pushkara Sally Ashford, remembrance of who we are and renewal of our collaborative commitment to the earth and to each other have spurred creative change and innovation in Pushkara's decades as musician, educator and clinical social worker. Look for her singing off the end of a gypsy wagon, a celebration of community, in "SingPeace! A Pilgrimage for Peace and Global Harmony."

*Laurence Cole, singer & songwriter, lives at the EcoVillage in Port Townsend where he enjoys building soil with his compost and writing songs and chants, often drawing on spiritual poetry from around the world. His greatest pleasure is helping tofacilitate the co-creation of joyous energy through harmonious, rhythmic group singing.
